Tonic for the Mind - 25

Don't let your work be a source of agony. Whatever we do has to be done in the present moment; it cannot be done in the past or the future. Therefore, don't let the weight of the dead past, or tension about the unborn future, spoil the joy of the present moment. We know very clearly that the past is gone and will not return. Yet, the past can leave strong imprints behind—so much so that we start living under the weight of it.
