How to Resolve Conflicts with Friends

Fighting with friends is tough all around. We often say things we don't mean and feelings get hurt. Occasionally, no one wants to admit they were wrong and no one wants to apologize; it seems as though the situation is beyond repair. There are many ways to resolve conflicts with friends. Here are some things you can do to start down the road to conflict resolution.

Step 1
Calm down. No one thinks rationally when emotionally worked up. Give yourself time to calm down before even thinking of the subject of the conflict again.

Step 2
Give each other respect. Without first respecting your friend, it is unlikely that the conflict will be resolved amicably.

Step 3
Give each other space. When the conflict has become too heated, walk away.

Step 4
Give each other time. Time to cool off will help all parties involved think things over in a rational manner.

Step 5
Respect each other's space and time. Everybody's different. Your friend may need a week before he is ready to resolve the conflict and you may need only a day. Give him the time he needs.

Step 6
Communicate. Not talking only makes matters worse. Periodically contact your friend to let her know that you still care about her.

Step 7
Listen well. Listen intently and focus on his point of view with an open mind.

Step 8
Choose your words wisely. Avoid accusatory phrases like "you never," "you always" or "why would you."

Step 9
Leave out the "but." When your friend asks if you accept his apology don't say "yes, but..." It's a conditional acceptance and can lead to more hurt feelings. The same goes for "I understand, but.."

Step 10
Let it go. If you can't find common ground, agree to disagree and let it go. Nothing good will come out of the conflict if you don't.

Love-- No Limit...

Ek ladke ne ek ladki ko propose kiya to ladki ne uske proposal ko thukra diya.Aur Ladka Kuch na Kehke Chala Gaya.

Ladke Ka Ek dost ye sab dekh raha tha. Aur dusre din use Udas Na dekh kar usse puchhata hai, tum to khush nazar aa rahe ho jab ki ladki ne to tumhara proposal ko thukara diya.. kya tum udas nahi ho ?

To woh ladka kahta hai, main udas kyun rahu? Woh bhi us ke liye jo mujhse pyar nahi karti, jab ki main janta hoon ki maine use khoya hai jo mujhse pyar nahi karti.. Udas to use hona chahiye, kyun ki usne use kho diya jo use sachche dil se pyar karta tha....

M I With The Right Person?

"I Got This Article by E-mail.. So I am Sharing It With U All "

During a seminar, a woman asked," How do I know if I am with the right person?" the author then noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so he said, "It depends. Is that your partner?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?" Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind replied the author. Here's the answer.

Every relationship has a cycle...In the beginning; you fall in love with your partner. You anticipate their calls, want their touch, and like their idiosyncrasies. Falling in love wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Picture the expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something happened TO YOU. Falling in love is a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few months or years of being together, the euphoria of love fades. It's a natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts. The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship; you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage. At this point, you and/or your partner might start asking, "Am I with the right person?" And as you reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when relationships breakdown.

The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the person you found.

People blame their partners for their unhappiness and look outside for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most common. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your relationship. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this): The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the person you found.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. You have to work on it day in and day out. It takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it demands WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make it work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your partner). Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. If you know and apply these laws, the results are predictable. Love is therefore a "decision". Not just a feeling.

Remember this always: God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let GO!!

Love...

Nothing hurts more than realising she meant everything to you, but you meant nothing to her...

Its hard to pretend you love someone when you don't but its harder to pretend that you don't love someone when you really do.

When Some One Hurts You..

when someone hurts you
and you didn’t hurt back.

When someone shouts at you
and you didn’t shout back.

But when someone needs you
you always come back.

A hopeless person sees difficulties in every chance.
But
A hope full person sees chance in every difficulties.

Definition of Love..

Love is the essence of life..love is Divine, love is God... love is prayer, love is the beauty in nature, love is the smile in a kid, love is the tears of a mother, love is the pain of a wife, love is the joy of a husband, love is the peace in humanity, love is the friendship among all people in the world...love is the bond which links all of us through lovebeats... ...

Love is the essence of life. without love we are incomplete. love in various forms. at the end we of course need a companion's love. and we need that companion for a lifetime without whom life is again incomplete.love is sweet, love is sour as well, love gives pain, love eases pain as well. love makes the heart ache, love then revives the heart as well... love is TRUST. love is SACRIFICE.love is COMPROMISE.Love is divine, love is spiritual. love is honesty. love is sincerity. love is pure. love is crystal. love is GOD.

and God is love. So we must all love. All must be in love. We must love and be loved as well. If you love in return you will of course be loved. And its really great to love and to be loved. There is nothing greater than this in life.

Infatuation VS Love

Infatuation is the initial, instant attraction and intense desire for a person of the opposite sex.

Love is a friendship that has caught fire. It takes root, develops and grows one day at a time. The process is slow.

Infatuation lacks confidence. When he/she is away you wonder if he/she is cheating you. Sometimes you check perhaps even discreetly.

Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. Your beloved feels the same also and this makes both even more trustworthy.

Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions or some unclear actions about your beloved that you would not like to examine too closely. It might spoil the dream.

Love is quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his/her presence even when he/she is away. Miles of distance do not separate you. You want him/her nearer, but near or far, you know he/she is yours and you can wait.

Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. If you are honest, you can admit it is difficult to be in one another's company, for the underlying fear that it will end in intimacy.

Love is the maturation of friendship. You are confident that you must be friends before you can be lovers.

Infatuation is usually temporary and eventually fades. It, however, might lead you to do things you will regret later, but love never will.

Love is an upper. It makes you look up. Love usually lasts longer and goes deeper than strong sexual Feelings. It makes you think up and makes you a better person.

Infatuation makes you feel anxious, nervous and jealous. You feel convinced that you can't live without the other person. You are unable to see the person for who they really are because he/she is perfect in your eyes.

Love makes you feel excited. You are willing to respect the other person's opinions and accept the good or bad qualities. You share similar values and beliefs and you see the person for who they really are.

Infatuation says, "We must get married right away! I can't risk losing you!"

Love says, "Be patient. Do not panic. Plan your future with confidence. There are rewards in waiting."

Love Is So very special..

Footprints in our Hearts...

Some People came into our lives
and quickly go.
Some stay for a while
and leave footprints in our hearts.
And We are never, ever the Same.

Don't Hurt a True Heart

Hurt a true heart as many times you want,
It wont stop loving you..but if you cheat a true heart,
It wont hurt or hate you, but it wont dare to love anyone again.

FRIENDS.....

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and t hey are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Dust in the Wind...

When you are gone
I feel so alone
I miss you dear
when you are not here

You make my day
Like when the sun shines in May
I need to see your smile
and I wish I could see it more then just once in a while

You are such delight
and add joy to my nights
I want you to know what you mean to me
and oh.. I hope that you can see

My heart is missing you
and I wonder... do you miss me to?
I hope that you do
because I know I miss you!!

I always hope you are ok, and nothing is wrong
When will I see you again.. oh I hope it won't be long!
I need to know that you care
and that no matter what you will always be there

Remember this is for you,
and to you I will send
So keep it close to you heart
and if you do, we will never part.

My heart is missing you!!

NEVER SAY.....

Never say I love you

If you don't really care

Never talk of feelings

If they aren't really there

Never hold my hand

If you mean to break my heart

Never say forever

If you ever plan to part

Never look into my eyes

If you are telling me a lie

Never say hello

If you think you'll say goodbye

Never say that I'm THE one

If you dream of more than me

Never lock up my heart

If you don't have the key....

That's Love......

If you love some one because you think that he or she is really gorgeous ....then it's not love .. it's " Infatuation"
If you love some one because you think that you shouldn't leave him because others think that you shouldn't ... then it's not love.. it's "Compromise"
If you love some one because you have been kissed by him ... then it's not love.. it's "Inferiority complex"
If you love some one because you cannot leave him thinking that it would hurt his feelings ... then it's not love .. it's "Charity"
If you love some one because you share every thing with him ... then it's not love... it's "Friendship"
BUT...
If you feel the pain of the other person more than him even when he is stable and you cry for him ... that's "LOVE"
If you get attracted to other people but stay with him without any regrets... that's "LOVE"
If you let him go knowing that he has to go but he doesn't want to ... that's "LOVE"

Happiness....

NEVER CRY FOR ANY RELATION IN LIFE

BECAUSE FOR THE ONE WHOM YOU CRY

DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR TEARS

AND THE ONE WHO DESERVES

WILL NEVER LET YOU CRY.................

TREAT EVERYONE WITH POLITENESS

EVEN THOSE WHO ARE RUDE TO YOU,

NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT NICE

BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE NICE.........................

NEVER SEARCH YOUR HAPPINESS IN OTHERS

WHICH WILL MAKE YOU FEEL ALONE,

RATHER SEARCH IT IN YOURSELF YOU WILL FEEL HAPPY

EVEN IF YOU ARE LEFT ALONE........................

ALWAYS HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE IN LIFE.

THERE IS SOMETHING POSITIVE IN EVERY PERSON.

EVEN A STOPPED WATCH IS RIGHT TWICE A DAY.......

HAPPINESS ALWAYS LOOKS SMALL

WHEN WE HOLD IT IN OUR HANDS...

BUT WHEN WE LEARN TO SHARE IT,

WE REALIZE HOW BIG AND PRECIOUS IT IS!................

Seeds of friendship..

Life is a vicious cycle
We live it everyday
Reaching out to help each other
In a very special way.

A kind word now and then
Sometimes is what it takes
Creating lasting friendship
Is what your effort makes.

Holding hands together
No matter when or where
Understanding and respect
Just showing that you care.

Like a lovely garden
Nurture it each day
Plant the seeds of friendship
All along the way.

Difference between somebody you love and somebody you like

Difference between

" Somebody you Love"
&
"Somebody you Like"

In front of the person you love, your heart beats faster.
But in front of the person you like, you get happy.

In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring.
But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter.

If you look into the eyes of the one you love, you blush.
But if you look into the eyes of the one you like, you smile.

In front of the person you love, you can't say everything on your mind.
But in front of the person you like, you can.

In front of the person you love, you tend to get shy.
But in front of the person you like, you can show your own self.

You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love.
But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

When the one you love is crying, you cry with them.
But when the one you like is crying, you end up comforting.

The feeling of love starts from the eye.
But the feeling of like starts from the ear.

So if you stop liking a person you used to like, all you need to do is cover your ears.

But
If you try to close your eyes, love turns into a drop of tear and remains
in your heart forever.
